Jenny Longshaw

Jenny is a traditional printmaker, based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Inspiration for her work comes from the beautiful coast, countryside and heritage surrounding her home in the northeast of England. 

Jenny is a self-taught artist, with 11 years printmaking experience. She creates handprinted linocut art prints and greetings cards, connecting to memories of her favourite landscapes, wildlife and flora.

Jenny also experiments with vintage wood type and the looser, painterly textures of mono printing, which are often incorporated into her finished pieces and used for collaging.

She has exhibited in group exhibitions at Woodhorn Museum, Washington Arts Centre and South Shields Customs House.
