Hannah Forsyth
Hannah, who lives in Northumberland, originally studied sculpture, working mainly in found and recycled materials on a large scale.
A lack of studio space led her to take up photography, inspired by the landscape surrounding her home. This is something she still enjoys, but a printmaking workshop several years ago introduced her to a medium that suited the way she had always wanted to work.
"I love the way you can take ink on and off the plate, make marks using any material, use a roller like a paint brush, the freedom and the
incredible colours of the ink"
Hannah says she loves the excitement and trepidation of not knowing exactly how the prints will turn out. To see Hannah at work and find out more about her work, she will be opening up her studio to the public as part of our new Art Trail
Art at Embleton event in May, 2025. Find out more via the event page.
