Bit of Fluff

Bit of Fluff creates colourful, knitted designs using beautiful pure wools, including mohair, alpaca, merino and Shetland. The hands behind the needles and the designs belong to Lesley McNish, who is also Creative Director at The Tin Shed. Lesley, who lives in North Northumberland, is a retired journalist, but learned to knit as a child in her parents' wool shops. She only started knitting again recently, after a gap of more than 30 years, taking much inspiration from the designs of Kaffe Fassett and other contemporary artwork. Lesley particularly loves working with mohair, due to its unevenness and feather-light weight, creating simple loose, unstructured garments.
