Adele Burdon
After a career in interior architecture Adele moved back home to Hexham, in Northumberland, where she lives and works as an artist.
In 2018 she won the Founders Award at Printfest and is now well-known for her landscape-inspired monotype prints.
Adele has tried her hand at various print-making techniques, initially concentrating on photoetching, before turning to mono printing.
Much of her inspiration for her textural, atmospheric original prints comes from the local landscape. She works from her home studio where she is always experimenting with printing techniques. She says the unexpected and surprising results are often a bonus, helping to create a unique, original one-off piece.
