Peter Down
Peter Down is an abstract photographer based in Northumberland.
Originally from the Midlands, he was once offered a place at the Slade School of Art, but didn't take it up and became a physiotherapist instead.
Retirement and a move to Northumberland 20 years ago rekindled his love of art, in particular photography. Lockdown led him to a new lease of creative life - to deconstruct his images and rebuild them using a variety of methods.
He is a member of Morpeth Camera Club and the Royal Photographic Society, gaining his LRPS in 2016. Peter also lectures on abstract photography to camera clubs throughout the northeast.
