Julia Morton

Julia is a landscape artist based in Berwick-upon-Tweed. She began painting professionally as a teenager, predominantly as a portrait artist at first. She stepped away from art in the early 2000's to focus on her young family.

In 2017 her passion for art was reignited by the beauty of the ancient and ethereal landscapes of Scotland, the country she considers as her spiritual home. Inspired by its beauty, she reinvented herself as a Scottish landscape artist, always painting in oils on canvas.

She says each piece has her heart and soul flowing through it -full of meaning and emotion.

"My paintings offer my personal and unique depiction of the enigmatic, ethereal landscapes of Scotland - places often lost deep in the mists of time and untouched by modernity".
